Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics

It is my pleasure to inform you that Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics (JIBS) as a joint publication of the Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) and the Entomological Society of Iran (ESI), has been launched as a new era for publication of the papers on diversity and systematics of the insects and other terrestrial arthropods.

Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics is an international peer-reviewed, fast processing and open access journal that publishes high quality papers in systematics and biodiversity of insects on both extant and extinct taxa, worldwide.

Various types of original papers on systematics and diversity, including revisions, lists, taxonomic monographs, nomenclatural notes, descriptions of the new taxa, applications of biology and anatomy in taxonomy, biodiversity, historical biogeography, phylogeny, evolution, theoretical methodology in systematics, biogeographical distributional patterns and regional checklists are welcome.

We are delighted to invite you to submit your original research articles for publication in Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics. Timeline of processing from Submission to Publication is about 45 days.

There is no page charge for publishing with JIBS. Publication of color figures in online edition is also free of charge. Each author will receive a free e-reprint (PDF) that can be freely distributed or deported in public libraries or websites.

Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics (JIBS) is an international peer-reviewed journal accepting original articles and reviews dealing with insects and other arthropods diversity and systematics, both extant and extinct taxa. The scope of articles that we publish includes, but is not limited to: taxonomic revisions, catalogues, monographs, nomenclatural notes, descriptions of the new taxa, applications of biology and anatomy in taxonomy, biodiversity, historical biogeography, phylogeny, evolution, Paleontology, theoretical methodology in systematics, biogeographical distributional patterns as well as regional checklists. The accepted submissions are not restricted to any geographical region and we consider papers in the mentioned areas from all parts of the world. Extensive faunistic revisions on a specific arthropod group throughout a country or wider biogeographical region are highly encouraged.
