Abstract:
Globalization results in both pressure and drivers for Malaysian enterprises to improve their environmental performance. As a developing country, Malaysia has to balance economic, social and environmental performance. Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is emerging to be an important approach for Malaysian enterprises to improve sustainable performance, especially on the environmental sustainability. Using empirical results from manufacturing companies on GSCM practices in Malaysia, this study intend to examine the relationships between GSCM practices and environmental performance. By using hierarchical regression analysis, this study will evaluate the general relationships between specific GSCM practices and environmental performance. This study will then investigate how these green practices will improve environmental performance and highlighting the significant practices that can affect the sustainable performance of firms
