Abstract:

Due to the high cost of bitumen today and the inefficiency of asphalt concrete pavements in specific areas such as discharge and loading areas, coastal tropical areas and aircraft stops, the use of concrete pavement, especially roller concrete pavement is increasing. This pavement has advantages such as lower cement consumption than other types of concrete pavement, no need for special equipment and materials and the possibility of using lower quality stone materials than the standard. In this paper, to evaluate the performance of roller concrete, cubic and cylindrical specimens used with different percentages of complementary cementitious materials (silica fume and rice husk ash) containing 10, 15,20,25,30% by weight replacement of cementitious cement 280 kg/m3 and with shelf life 28 day.For testing compressive strength, water absorption percentage, specific gravity, ultrasonic compressive strength estimation of cubic specimens 15 × 15 × 15 cm and for testing tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 15 and height 30 cm and for Roller concrete performance testing Web time testing on fresh concrete by modified web machine was used.To replace the natural filler, stone powder was used as part of a fine-grained material with an 8% bypass of sieve score 200.The results of these experiments show that replacing 15% rice husk ash and 25% silica soot in place of cement improves the mechanical and performance properties as well as decreasing the cement consumption in roller concrete specimens.
