Assessment and Ranking of Productive Industries listed in Tehran Stock Exchange

Production in country and assessment of productivity over years is of high importance in macroeconomic issues. Evaluation of the performance of industrial activities withpre and post links in economy is important and provides knowledge and understanding of the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and challenges in financing. Identification of index of profit or loss of manufacturing enterprises as representatives of all products in country based on divided industries is also important. Understanding the weaknesses of industries which include collection of companies with the same characteristics, the level of technology, production methods and common productivity and financial index can provide ways for assessment and present principles and optimal mechanisms for allocation of country resources. This paper is based on data for the years 1386 to 1390 of companies listed in the stock exchange. The financial information presented the performance of firms. According to these two objectives, assessment and analysis of company based on financial index is conducted and compared with International standards which ranked firms in different action groups using numerical taxonomy. We use numerical taxonomy for ranking eleven manufacturing industries, based on privilege index. The results show that machines and equipment industry in 1389 and automotive industry in 1390 had the best performance.
