Abstract:
OBJECTIVES: We determine the prevalence of Hypertension & Diabetes in patients with Endometrial Proliferative Disorders and then compare these findings with the prevalence Blood Hypertension & Diabetes in the general population of nonpregnant women with Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB). MATERIALS & METHODS: IN this cross-sectional,descriptive- analytical study,we have determine the prevalence of Hypertension & Diabetic patients with Endometrial Hyperplasia reported by their physical exam and their pathology results among 1016 cases of non-pregnant women aged between 25-75 years old who had been undergone diagnostic endometrial curettage in JAVAHERI Hospital Tehran since 2002 to 2015 and then be analysed by SPSS version (18.0)software. RESULTS:- 426 patients with AUB are diagnosed as case of Endometrial Hyperplasia among 1016 cases undergoing Endometrial diagnostic curettage . - The prevalence of Diabetes in patients with Endometrial Hyperplasia is 70 patients (16.4%) in comparison with prevalence of Diabetes among the general population of women with AUB that is 84 patients (8.3%). - The prevalence of Hypertension in women with Endometrial Hyperplasia is 96 patients (22.5%) in comparison with general population of women with AUB that was 127 patients (12.5%). CONCLUSION:-Diabetes Mellitus & Blood Hypertension show an increased prevalence among the women who suffer from Endometrial Hyperplasia.
