Abstract:

Social capital can be considered as a sustainable competitive advantage of an organization. However, for optimal use ofthis capital, the human capital of the organization should be considered and well understood. Therefore, the role ofpositive organizational behavior in strengthening social capital is essential. For data collection, correlation-typedescriptive survey was employed in this study. Specifically, it was based on structural equation modeling, performed byusing the LISREL software. The target population was the workforce in the Iranian automotive industry. Because theexact population size was unknown, the sample size used was 384, considered large enough to represent the population.Random sampling was the technique used. The results of this study indicate that according to the positive organizationalbehavior, efficient steps can be taken to increase an organization s social capital.
