Abstract:
Synchros have been employed as measuring tools to measure linear and angular position for over six decades due to their high reliability and cost-effectiveness. In this paper, we will propose new type of winding for primary and secondary windings of a brushless synchro. This proposed winding type causes reducing magnetic interference and increasing the amplitude of induced voltage. The larger amplitude results in zero-cross detection being more accurate. It also improves the signal to noise ratio measure. The considered approach has been validated by three-dimensional simulating in MagNet simulation software. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed winding type is effective to reduce the magnetic flux leakage. Moreover, the amplitude of induced voltage is increased.
