Abstract:
The patient was a 70 year-old man with a history of chronic B hepatitis and chirrhosis. He exhibited transient left hemiparesia so, a brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was taken and revealed bilateral hyperintensity in putamens in T1 sequence. The basal ganglia is deep gray matter structure that may be involved by a wide variety of disease entities. Careful assessment of radiological findings, together with clinical correlation, may be helpful in narrowing the differential diagnosis.
