Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to examine the level of effectiveness of teaching the executive functions on anger control. The sample, which has been used in this study, contains 46 primary school students all from Tehran during the time period of 1395-1396. Our sample has been made through convenience sampling method in which 46 students have been randomly chosen and divided into two groups of 23 members (experimental and control group). Using quasi-experimental method, we got all students answer a specific questionnaire regarding the anger expressing style . Then the experimental group has been through 7 sessions of teaching executive functions regarding response inhibition At the end of the last session both experimental and control group members answered the same questionnaire that they all answered before the experiment. Multivariable analysis of Covariance (MANCOVA) indicates that teaching executive functions regarding response inhibition eventually has increased the ability of anger management among primary school students. Executive function teaching system has positive effects on increasing the anger management and anger control among primary school students.
