Abstract:Tabriz city is one of the seismotectonically active regions in Iran. Fragility cUlVes can be used to evaluate the current status of these buildings and propose effective methods to retrofit them. In this paper Park-Ang damage index has been used for evaluation of vulnerability of usual structures inTabriz. For this purpose, some frames have been selected to subject to 10 earthquake records by considering interaction of soil-structure. By using nonlinear dynamic analysis with IDARC2D(ver7.0), fragility cUlVes will be obtained and show that the damage increases with increase in the number of stories.
