the best ratio of height to span in the single layer barrel vault under general loading

The best height to span is one of the main destination that most of persons who are designer of space structures like barrel vault structures are engage with it .optimum design for structures is in relation with choosing designing variables in a way that structure's weight become minimum and same time designing obligation are in act.So, in this research effort is on optimization of weight of space structures barrel vault with single layer and for this destination there 42 sample models with fixed span but height and length of barrel vault are variable.Samples are modeled by FORMIAN software and then are ready for design and analysis and then after discussion and to conclude on output it can be easy to determine that foraspan which height is fit and optimum for barrel.in other word such structure that is selected have to have best efficiency in compare with structures that have same span but most have variable height and also be economical.
