Abstract:

This study was reported to assessment the impact of biocontrol fungi- Trichoderma Trichoderma harzianum .Rafai(T.h.t) and Chaetomium elatum ( C.e) isolates in improvement of the growth of rice seedlings - class Yassamine and combating Echinochloa grus .Gali weeds which accompaniment to rice cultivation.Two laboratorial experements were carryied out, the first experement was included isolation, purification of fungi in rice fields (AL-Mishkhab at agricultural season 2014), and comparing their pathogenicity, promotional abilities by planting rice and Echinochloa seeds in petri dishs containing biocontrol fungi and their filterates,while the second experiment was acheived by using spots containing 200 gm of the field soil samples which treated with studied fungi ( held on powerded wheat straw) and comparing the germination and growth ( percentage of germination , seedlings death , lengths (cm) , fresh and dry weights (gm) of plumile of rice and Echinochloa seedlings, these experiments was designed by completely randomized design(C.R.D) .Results of this study appear: 1-Treatments with the biological control fungi, T.h.a. T.h.t and C.e caused 95.23 , 94.21 ,91.29 %germination percentage of rice seeds . 2- T.h.t. fungi and its filtrates showed an important results in the field of controlling of Echinochloa weeds grown in petri dishes and spots , Echinochloa germination percentage reached 7.11 % in petri dishes and 19.45 % in spots respectively as well as fungi filterates achieved 11.49% in petri dishes , inaddition. Also T.h.t. and C.e and their filtrates attained a significant results in combating with Echinochloa germination percentage by reducing plumile length , fresh and dry weight in compare with control treatment.
