Abstract:

Microplastics are tiny pieces or plastic fibers. After entering in environment, they can accumulate in the food chain. Also, various pollutants can absorb and accumulate on the surfaces of microplastics. It is very important to prevent microplastics for providing human health. Microplastics enter in the human food chain through the atmosphere, drinking water and foods such as fish and other seafood, honey, beverages and agricultural products. This study aims to analysis of control and reduction strategies for entry of microplastics into water resources and food chain. Accordingly, after studying the microplastics in water and food, the most basic methods for controlling and reducing the entry of microplastics into water and food chain have been investigated. In this approach, the most fundamental strategies are prioritized using analytical hierarchy process. Accordingly, in the current situation and before the completion of scientific research related to preventing entry of microplastics into water resources and food chain, Training and Culturize for preventing of entry of microplastics into water resource and food chain in society, will be the best approach. The results are very important in risk management of microplastics in the environment and society.
