An integrated AHP and Regime approach to supplier selection in supply chain management

Supplier selection is an important issue in supply chainmanagement. This study presents Regime approach for solvingthe supplier/vendor selection problem from the perspective ofstrategic management of the supply chain. AHP is used to weightcriteria and Regime technic is applied to evaluate the alternativesuppliers, and deals with the ratings of both qualitative andquantitative criteria. The final decision-maker incorporates thesupply risks of individual suppliers into final decision making.The advantage of this method is that it allows decision makers toset multiple aspiration levels for supplier selection problems. Theintegrated model is illustrated by an example in a watch firm.Finally, an empirical study is conducted to demonstrate theprocedure of the proposed system and identify the suitablesupplier.
