Abstract:

Architectural Spaces in the Iranian architecture include both design of inside and outside space. Proximity, accessibility and visuality are regarded as the ways for relation between inside and outside, proximity between two spaces, sometimes is without intermediate space, sometimes through the half-open spaces and sometimes through a closed space. Accessible and visual relations are provided by doors or door and window and sometimes by invisible windows which only leads light to inside. According to the degree of privacy, closed spaces and climatic conditions architects always tried to build integrated relations. This article, by regarding proximate, accessible and visual relations between inside and outside, tried to find different types of relation in Iranian architecture and study 12 relation strategies in Borujerdis House in Kashan.
