Abstract:

Among the transition metal nano materials, silver nanoparticles have been gaining many attentions. Due to their unique characteristics, these nanoparticles have shown fascinating antimicrobial, electrical, chemical, optical and also physicochemical properties. These properties lead to their applications in various fields. Therefore, development of a simple and cost-effective method for the synthesis of these nanoparticles is very important. Electrochemical methods are flexible, simple and available methods for synthesis of nanoparticles. The particle size that has a significant effect on the nanoparticles properties, can be improved by controlling the reaction parameters such as type of solvent, electrolytic and the applied current o potential. One of other advantages is high purity of synthesized nanoparticles. In overall in this synthesis rout silver nanoparticles are deposited on a solid support involves the competition of two basic processes, that is, nucleation and particle growth.In this paper we described and evaluated the electrochemical methods for synthesis of silver nanoparticles
