Abstract:

Generation of pseudo-random sequence in security and encryption discussion has been one of the important topics of study in recent years. Generation of full length sequences sequence with large period, output complexity and high security is one of the most important issues in the field of security and encryption. Different structures and various components used in these systems, which include most notably, linear feedback shift register (LFSRs), nonlinear feedback shift register (NFSRs), and Pseudo-random chaos generators. Each of these structures has its own advantages, disadvantages and specific characteristics, which distinguish them from each other. In this paper with review and compare the features of each of these structures, a new structure consists of NFSR and Pseudo-random chaos generator is proposed that can generate random numbers with better output quality. Output signal shows a good autocorrelation function and it looks like a δ-function. This structure has a larger period and more output complexity, too. The above structure advantages over each of the structures like non-linear feedback shift registers and chaos pseudo-random generator separately. Output has an appropriate random characteristic and with some improvements could be used in cryptographic systems.
