Abstract:
Due to limitations such as low power density, high cost, and high weight, the development and use of battery-powered devices are facing unprecedented technical challenges. Wireless power transfer, as a new energy transfer paradigm, offers a new way to use energy in electrical equipment, thereby reduces the high dependence on battery usage. A major challenge for wireless power transfer applications is to achieve steady and high power transfer through dynamic changes in coupling conditions. In this paper, a system for robust wireless power transfer to the changes of the coupling coefficient between receiver and transmitter coils will be investigated and simulated. The system is implemented using a self-oscillating controlled inverter and a series-series structure as a compensation method.
