Abstract:

The Dole-abad area rangelands is one of the most important and sensitive lands of the natural resources of the coastal area located in the western part of Neishabour in the southern part of the Binalood Mountains. Proper management of these areas requires identification of its various characteristics, including cover percentage, vegetation production, rangeland status, and Etc. The study, used to measure rice production, uses TM images from Landsat satellite for May 2015. At first, pre-processing corrections were made on images and then, using various spectral band bands, this indicator made many plant indices. Regression relations were investigated between the calculated vegetation indices (dependent variable) and the measured production in the study field (independent variable) and the highest were determined. The results showed that there was a significant correlation (p <0.01) between the plant density indices and the plant production in the study area. The highest correlation coefficient belonged to the TSAVI1 index, which has a correlation of 0.8477 at the level of 0.01, and using this index, the map of the rangeland production in the studied area was prepared
