On the Pathology of Green Roof Approach in Isfahan`s Contemporary Architechture

Today, the green environments, gardens, and jungles are replacing with skyscrapers and residential towns. The citizens who conceive and contemplate themselves precisely understand that they need to be calm and peaceful by havving the nature at hand; therefore, they believed green roof as a suitable solution to join the nature. Green roof is introduced as the most important stable architectural solution to reduce the amount of energy consumption in Iran. Taking this matter into consideration is important that the architecture should pay attention to the aestheic issues and preserve the natural environment, then they are supposed to design in a way which is consistent with the each area`s climate. This qualitative survey in which the effects of the green roof`s existence in Esfahan city with hot and dry weather have been analyzed, the starting point of these intricates has been analyzed and its objective is to try to stop the development of this new method of energy consumption in Iran`s contemporary architecture, specially in Esfahan which is possible by analysing a case study with a drown urban project. It is tried to propound this issue and analyse the reason of project performance in the European countries, in comparon with Iran.
