Abstract:

Today, with the increasing trend of urbanization, the spread of cities, followed by more and more on issues of social issues such as security of citizens in urban areas will be emphasized. Undoubtedly create a safe environment and away from crime is a measure of satisfaction is man-made spaces. One of the goals of the architectural structures, safety and comfort is achieved through the development of physical security. The housing complexes due to lack of attention and loss of sense of belonging, social background have provided for damage. Accordingly, it is possible to design the architecture to the presence of man-made environments and social activities without fear residents would be provided. What security residential complex known as receive objective and subjective structure of the physical, social and environmental performance, it is recommended to increase the criteria and standards for the design of the building should be considered. One of the strategies to increase physical security, crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) is today the most efficient ways of reducing opportunities for crime by using physical security in the areas of construction. This research was descriptive and analytical research tools to collect information about the use of the library. Finally, after a study of security solutions using the approach to environmental design (CPTED) to improve the quality of housing complexes in order to increase safety will be presented.
