Abstract:

Iran is located in a hot and dry geographical location. It is necessary to use cooling equipment in most of the regions during the warm season. The most commonly used are evaporative coolers and air conditioner s condenser. These devices are exposed to the sun or in the open air. In the long run, the sun radiation causes the equipment to depreciate and in addition greatly impact their efficiency and make them more energy efficient. Therefore, the need for canopies for these devices is very important. From the viewpoint of purpose as well as the nature, this research is practical and qualitative-descriptive, respectively. By making use of the so-called Design up method (Tarrahi Nameh in Persian), data collecting has been done. Its most practical important tools were questionnaire, interview and observation that have been designed and developed based on the Likert scale. Present different designs, deliver top design and evaluate it have been performed. The novelty solar modular canopy, which is so-called BehAsa, for evaporative coolers as well as air conditioner s condenser has been illustrated. Some of its features are: energy-saving at least 30%, water-saving at least 20%, UV protection and damping prevention, rain and snow prevention, prevent dust from entering the evaporative cooler and prevent excessive evaporation of water, mountable to any size, long life of parts, easy installation and transportation, and safety.
