Abstract:

Tecrium Polium is a common herb that is a commonly seen to be grown in the Mediterranean regions. It is a plant that is primarily known to contain pink as well as white flowers. This is one of the prime herbs that have been used to treat numerous stomach related ailments. This herb has been used to contain number of medicinal advantages and is known to contain components which have anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic as well as anti-diarrhoea properties. This herb has been used in manufacturing of numerous medicines and hence is of prime importance. Some of the health benefits associated with this herb is mentioned below, . Teucium Polium (TP), family Lamiaceae or Labiatae is a shrub growing mainly in Mediterranean countries.Teucrium polium, which is known in Iran as Nanem klopurea, is a plant that has been used for many years from many times. In some regions of Iran, it is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders. This extract is also used in the treatment of caraway diseases and abscesses. Teucrium polium L. (family Lamiaceae) is a wild-growing flowering plant, found abundantly in South-Western Asia, Europe and North Africa. Traditionally, T. polium has been used for different pathological conditions such as gastrointestinal disorders, inflammations, diabetes and rheumatism. Of course, this herbal medicine is very useful for infectious and articular diseases. In traditional Iranian medicine (TIM), the tea of T. polium is used for treating many diseases such as abdominal pain, indigestion, common cold and type 2 diabetes. This herb is extensively used in treatment of certain digestive issues. In this paper, we will look at the studies conducted in this field.
