Abstract:

Background and Aim : Infertility as a biological phenomenon has personal and interpersonalpsychological effects. Infertile women usually experience suffering stress, anxiety and depression. One ofthe most common reasons to discontinue infertility treatment is the psychological burden associated withit. Due to the negative consequences of infertility in women, researchers and therapists have always paidspecial attention to this issue and many interventions have been conducted with different approaches toreduce the psychological problems of infertile women.Interventions in recent years Positive PsychologyIntervention (PPIs) has attracted the attention of researchers and therapists. Positive psychology emphasizesthe study of positive emotions and experiences and focuses on the study of human abilities and consistentfunctioning, from the study of psychological deficiencies and dysfunctions to maladaptive functioning. Thisstudy was conducted to explain and understand the mental feelings of infertile women about positivetreatment by qualitative method.Methods : The research method was qualitative. For this purpose, 20 women with primary and secondaryinfertility referring to gynecology offices and clinics in Ahvaz in spring and summer of 1398 were selectedby available sampling and data were collected using semi-structured interviews.Results : Positive attitude and learning related skills have been effective in reducing suffering (physical,spiritual and psychological), anxiety, stress and depression in infertile women and indirectly and indirectlypromoting positive abilities and emotions, suffering, anxiety, stress and depression. it destroys.Conclusion : The results showed that infertility can affect the life of infertile couples and one of the factorsthat can be effective in decreasing suffering, anxiety, stress and depression in infertile women is positivethinking skills.
