The effects of mode of delivery on the female postpartum sexual function : A systematic review

Background and Aim : Sexual function is an important part of the quality of life , which has been attributednumerous factors such as sleep , hormonal changes , breastfeeding , partnership quality , maternal educating, depressive symptoms and pelvic floor trauma . . This review aimed to determine the effects of mode ofdelivery on the female postpartum sexual functionMethods : : Comprehensive electronic searches of database such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopous andGoogle Scholar, were conducted to identify any study in each database published between 2014 – 2019Results : Searches identified 42 publications describing the effects of mode of delivery , postpartum ,female sexual function. Of these, 17 met our inclusion criteria . .According to the results of the studies, .No difference was found between mode of delivery and postpartum sexual function have been Seen after12 monthes after delivery .Conclusion : In conclusion, this study indicated that the mode of delivery (cesarean and normal vaginaldelivery ) did not affect sexual function for long-term .
