Abstract:

Rolling process is one of the most important and fastest kinds of forming. One of critical parts of this process is rollers. The rollers have to bear high forces and high temperatures. It should also be pointed out that the friction of the roller bearings plays a major role in the geometry of the productions. Quality of productions in rolling process depends on many parameters such as driver torque, rolling speed, sheet thickness, roller distance, roller diameter. The current study is a parametric research considering the diameter and roller distances in the rolling of aluminum sheet by a FEM model with the help of the Abaqus software. In addition, more different parameters such as temperature, stress, strain and strain rate in rolling process are investigated.
