This research is divided in two parts, first part deals with the relevance of CLT in engineering and the second part deals with the teacher’s attitude towards CLT based teaching for engineering students. For this purpose, 80 students were selected from Science and Art University in Yazd. 100 students were selected randomly belonging to different field of engineering course. A pre- test was taken and nearly 80 students were selected with basic knowledge of English. The students were divided into two groups a control group and an experimental group. Control group was worked traditionally and the experimental group was taught on taken English communication in consideration the book which was used was Top Notch along with the related films. The treatment went on for 15 weeks, each week they had class for four hours. After 15 weeks a post test was conducted and collected data was analyzed using SPSS.
