Abstract:

In the present paper, a new method is proposed to increase heat transfer in micro-channels and other heat exchangers. In order to increase the efficiency of heat exchangers, vortex generators are used to reduce the area of the cold zone in the core and increase the mixing. Vortex generators can also be used in micro heat exchangers, which have recently been considered by researchers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of changing the Reynolds number on the microchannel on the improvement of heat transfer and slow flow pattern. In this model, the flow is considered calm, the variable Reynolds number, the constant input fluid temperature and the output pressure of the microchannel are equal to the pressure of the atmosphere. The upper wall is also insulated, and the lower wall is fixed at a certain distance and is at the rest of the insulation. Fluent and Gambit software are used to solve the governing equations and simulate the problem.
