Abstract:

Heat transfer science is one of the most important and most used engineering sciences, considering the issue of energy crisis and need to save on fuel consumption for various reasons, such as rising fossil fuels prices, the risk of ending energy sources and etc. It is important to reduce energy consumption. In this study, the characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer in a rectangular microchannel, in which the effect of 3 rectangular vortex generators on a microchannel surface and a vortex generator in the form of a microchannel as 2D, unsteady and laminar flow has been studied. A comparison of thermal and hydrodynamic performance in Reynolds numbers in the range of 10 to 1000 was performed to clarify the effect of vortices generated by vortex generators.
