Examining the main cause of failure in coiled tubing in the oil industry (Real Case)

Coiled tubing is one of the important devices in oil industry and failure of tube of that is very high-risk problem. In a real case the supervisor saw the tubing fail during the operation, because of tube was new so doubt was fond that tubing is fake, after that some tests like Quantum test, Chemical composition test, Optical Metallography, Stretching and Dimensional test were defined to discover the cause, after review and study it became apparent that the problem was with the grippers of injector.
