Recently, all the countries worries about the human activities and his mishandling of non-renewable energy resources which caused serious problems such as climate change and global warming. The objective of this paper is to present innovative, energetic and technological methods in order to reduce energy consumption, improve indoor comfort, and replace non-renewable energy resources with renewable ones through energeticand technological interventions on existent buildings. Buildings play an undeniable role in energy consumption as they use a lot of energy. Therefore, there have been emanated new construction norms and rules in international and national scale. However what should be done about the existent buildings? Why should they be revised energetically? How should be the environmentally friendly interventions to reach this goal? How users should be informed about the interventions and why? To get a better idea the studies, descriptive - analytic techniques have been used, considering the national and regional norms and calculation methods. As a sample, a social housing of 70s was chosen to be analyzed. In that period, several social housing complexes were built in order to provide accommodations for Fiat’s workers, in the northeast part of Turin, Barriera di Mialno. The case study building includes 72 housing apartments built in prefabricated concrete panels without either insulation or a centralized heating system. Therefore, it consumes a large amount of primary energy. According to the current building’s situation, innovative interventions are proposed, according to the international and national standards in order to improve the actual situation of the building. Moreover, the role of the users after these interventions is studied. The results show a considerable reduction in energy consumption about 72% and the improvement of energy class form D to B through these technological interventions.
