Abstract:

Objectives.Multiple sclerosis (MS) is one of the most important inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system, yet its etiology is not well defined. Cell therapy for MS has become one of the newest therapies, even in its clinical phase. Material and Method First, human bone marrow stromal stem cells are cultured with α-MEM containing 10% FBS. Demyelination model was induced in mice for 6 weeks by administration of the cuprizone, and in the fourth and fifth week after the first dose of Cuprizone, the stem cells were administered intraperitoneally to the mice. At the end of the sixth week, the rats were killed and the expression of MBP was investigated by realTime-PCR. .Results In the molecular studies, significantly increase the expression of the MBP in the treatment group with the cell was seen compared to other groups. Conclusion In treatment we observed an increase in myelination compared to other groups that we used only from PBS.
