Pentafluorophenylammonium Triflate (PFPAT): A Mild, and efficient catalyst for synthesis of di N-aryl imid and N-aryl imid under solvent-free conditions

In this investigation we demonstrated for the synthesis of 2-aryl-1H-isoindol-1,3(2H)-dion and 2,6-di arylpyrrolo[3,4-f]isoindole-1,3,5,7(2H,6H)-tetrone deriatives using PFPAT. Facile and efficient synthetic protocol by the condensation of diphthalic and phthalic anhydride with aromatic amines ,solvent free , and PFPAT as the reaction medium and promoter.
