These type of RNAs in the category of non-coding RNAs are separated by a length of 26 to 33 nucleotides from miRNAs [1]. In addition to controlling TEs [2], piRNAs play an important role in controlling TE, gene expression, cancer[3], differentiation, growth, gametogenesis, and so on. Among these, Cancer as a global problem has attracted more attention. In this study we focused on the mitochondrial genome by selecting the cell lines used in breast cancer researches and categorizing them based on main surface receptors to measure the expression of the piRNAs in the mitochondria of each of them. Cancer-related piRNAs could be predicted by using the results of the alignment performed with the Hisat2 tool and comparing healthy and patient samples.
