Abstract:

Heterosis is one of the common method has beenemployed as a tool to improve aquaculture productivityregarding to their external fertilization and similarmating behaviors. Generally, a hybrid fish expected toproduce offspring with remarkable growth characteristicsand tolerance to environmental stresses. Identificationof suitable molecular markers for distinguishing thehybrid progeny from their parents particularly in theirearly stages is vital for aquaculture breeding program. Inthe present study, two F1 hybrid families was producedby controlled inter-specific hybridization betweenfemale and male of polyploid Persian sturgeon andsubsequently genomic DNA was extracted using theQiagen DNeasy tissue Kit and 11 microsatellite lociwas used for genotyping analysis of parents and theirproduced offspring. Analysis of inheritance patterndemonstrated classic Mendelian inheritance of thesemarkers in the hybrid offspring. All loci segregated codominantly, and confirmed to Mendelian segregationand can be used for parental analysis and populationgenetic studies. The result of present study could beapplicable for parentage analysis of the hybrid, whichwould provide valuable information in fish breedingprograms and facilitate understanding the moleculardynamics in the hybridization of Persian sturgeon fishspecies from different families. Furthermore, informationof this study about heredity pattern of investigated locicould be in construction of linkage map in this species forQTL mapping purpose.
