Abstract:
Introduction: Sexual dysfunction after treatment of breast cancer and its effects on the quality of marital life are among the most common problems of women, so that the difference in sexual disorders in women is much widespread than healthy women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sexual dysfunction of women with breast cancer and compare them with healthy women.Methods: In this case-control study, 250 women with breast cancer and 250 healthy women were enrolled in the study. Sexual Dysfunction Questionnaire (ROSEN) was used to assess women s sexual function. Data were analyzed using SPSS18 software.Results: The mean age of patients was 42.4 and healthy women was 41.3years old; 62% of women with breast cancer and 48% of healthy women had some degree of sexual dysfunction. The most common disorder in patient group was related to vaginal moisture and the most severe disorder in the healthy women group was related to sexual deformity.Conclusion: According to the results of this study, sexual dysfunction is more common in women with breast cancer than in other women.
