Abstract:
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer among women in the world, so determining molecular changes are more important for diagnosis and personal treatments. Elongin C (ELOC or TCEB1) is one of the subunits of RNA polymerase II that potently activate the rate of it̕ s transcription elongation. Here we evaluated the expression of TCEB3 in breast cancer. Total RNA was extracted from thirty pairs of breast tumor and their marginal tissues using RNX-plus reagent. cDNA was synthesized by PrimeScriptTM RT reagent kit(Takara) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Gene expression was measured by quantitative real-time PCR and data were normalized to GAPDH as an internal control. Results showed that the expression of TCEB3 was higher in the tumoral tissues compared to the paired marginal samples, however the difference was not significant (p> 0.05).
