Organizing of urban furniture for disable person (case study: session road)

The number of people with disabilities who can move without help is quite low in the urban spaces. This significantly indicates the extent to which disabled people’s participation in urban and social life is low, and opportunities for them to move independently are constrained. Many urban public areas such as streets, parks and city centers in most cities like Baguio City face with the problem of inappropriate spaces for the disabled. The aim of this research study was to determine the problems of people with disabilities encountered in urban areas and analysis and pathology of urban furniture in designated areas and Session road and present strategies for suiting these spaces to the Disabled. This report summarizes the work undertaken in Phase I of the project, which investigated the status quo and needs and barriers in my case study (Session road); Phase II of the project intends to assess the applicability of current guidelines and standards; Phase III of the project , tried to represent the ways for organizing and modifying urban furniture. Data collection tools are providing to the results of basic research and library studies and utilizing articles, publications, websites , field perceives are necessary (photograph) And In the field, by visiting the study area and collecting observations & impressions on the current situation. Analyze the results and final conclusion is obtained by classifying the contents and perceived notes, photographs, tables, diagrams
