Optimal location of sport applications in Shiraz by comparison of 2 techniques of VIKOR and TOPSIS

Among the diverse urban applications, sport places are important as an important part of health of hardware body of community. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the places should be properly located around the city. Using the GIS and decision making models, it is possible to present mobility to the city in construction of places and fair distribution of them across the city and to cost savings and increased productivity. In the study, after determining the 15 effective criteria for the locating of sports places, two Topsis and VIKOR techniques are used to locating. After weighting the criteria by hierarchical analysis method, the most important criterion of population density was determined by the weight of 0.197. After overlapping of criteria, according to the results of Topsis technique, 6.8% of total area of studied region under inappropriate conditions, 21.36% in relatively inappropriate conditions, 28.52% in moderate conditions in terms of proportion, 27.03 in relatively suitable conditions and 16.3% in the total area of the city has suitable conditions for construction of sports places and according to the VIKOR model, following the overlapping of 1% of area of Shiraz city, for construction of proper sports places, 24% were relatively suitable, 28% were moderate, 26% were relatively inappropriate and 20% were inappropriate.
