Abstract:
Introduction: Over the past decades, the incidence rate of multi drug resistant bacteria has been dramatically increasing worldwide. The aim of this study was to determine of antibiotic resistance profile of Gram-negative and positive bacteria isolated from transplant unit of Afzalipour hospital, Kerman, Iran, 2017.Material and Methods: During one year, 45 clinical isolates of Gram-negative/positive bacteria were collected from different clinical samples from transplant unit of Afzalipour hospital and the disk diffusion method was using to antibiotic susceptibility testing of bacteria. Results: E. coli was the common bacteria that isolated from patients in transplant unit. Amikacin was the most effective antibiotic against this bacterium and the highest rate of resistance were observed to ciprofloxacin in E. coli isolates. Conclusion: Surveillance on the antibiotic resistance profile of bacteria is very important for infection control and treatment of infections.
