Abstract:

In this work, 4- (1-benzo imidazole-2-yl) benzene - 1,2-diol was synthesized as precursor of conductive polymer. In the acidic media, the opposite charges of the monomer and the graphene quantum dots facilitate adsorbtion of monomer on the glassy carbon electrode. Infrared spectroscopy, 1HNMR and scanning electron microscopy were used to study the monomer synthesis as well as the polymer deposition on the electrode surface. The graphene quantum dot / conducting polymer nanocomposite as surface modifier of the glassy carbon electrode showed a remarkable oxidation current for the pramipexole compared to the unmodified electrode. After variable optimization, the concentration of peramipexol was linearly correlated to its oxidation current in the range of 0.1-35.0 μM with the detection limit of 0.06 μM. The utility of the modified electrode was evaluated by measuring concentration of this drug in different pharmaceutical formulations.
