Abstract:
In this study, the hybrid composite of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was synthesized by a simple wet impregnation method and was used as support for palladium nanoparticles. The catalytic performance of ternary composite Pd/g-C3N4-rGO was investigated through the oxidation reaction of ethylbenzene in the presence of TBHP as oxidant reagent and the result showed 67% conversion and 97% selectivity toward acetophenone under optimized conditions. In addition, the proposed catalyst also retained its activity and selectivity for acetophenone after 5 runs.
