High Power DC-DC Converters Under Large Load And Input Voltage Variations

Many recent applications utilize DC/DC switching converters for their good specifications. The SM (Sliding Mode) control scheme based on VSS (Variable Structure System) theory has been used in all switch mode converter types, whilst CM (Current Mode) control scheme is particularly applied to DC/DC converters. Nevertheless, these control strategies have some inability to compensate large load current and input voltage variations. In this paper, a new control strategy by compromising both schemes and derivation of dynamic current reference is proposed, analyzed and simulated. Moreover, derivation of a new dynamic current reference is also carried out to mitigate the large load/input voltage variations effects.
