Abstract:
Plasmonic photo thermal therapy (PPTT) is a procedure which converts photon energy into heat and can be used to extirpate cancer. Titanium dioxide can be employed for solar energy conversion based on dye, polymer, or quantum dot sensitized nano-crystalline. Nanoparticles, such as titania nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs), have unique properties which could improve the absorbance and scattering of light. Therefore, they could play an efficacious role in photo thermal therapy (PTT). The present study compared the photo thermal anticancer activity of near infrared (NIR) excited carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and TiO2 NPs in cancer therapy
