Comprehensive application of roller presses in worldwide mineral industries

Recent developments in recovery of grinding circuits have giant impacts on operational costs in any plant and can save the energy sources. Optimization of conventional machinery and new equipment are some of these achievements. Production costs and environmentally issues fromthe view point of comminution and economic separation emphasize on reduction in energy consumption and development in highly efficient machinery. The major part of energy consumption in production and processing lines of minerals belongs to comminution and frictionsteps. From the most important new equipment which are being used in this case, one can mention different sorts and variation in High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) that are being used with variable positions in grinding circuits. The use of HPGR in mineral industries for milling clinker, copper, iron, lime stone, slag and other partly non-abrasive material have been accepted. Cost reduction with economization of energy consumption, increase in throughput, occupying less room and being robust are of most important reasons that made roller pressesmore considerable. Research on application of roller press in one of the mineral processing plants in the country showed that increase in capacity of ball mill as much as 120 as a result of reduction in from 33.5 mm to 7.22 mm, reduction in Bond index from 15ℎ to 8.6reduction in the biggest ball size
