Abstract:
In this paper, an intelligent model based on fuzzy inference is proposed to analyze overhead lines terminated to arrester. This model in despite of transmission line model (TLM) is applicable for high frequencies created by lightning strikes. In this model, the behavior of the problem is first represented as simple membership functions. After then, the effects of height and excitation points on the input admittance and induced current are respectively extracted as simple curves. Finally the input admittance and the induced current for arbitrary height and excitation points are efficiently predicted respectively.
