Abstract:

Experimental data for essential oil of Citrus.limettioides cultivated in Iran using cold press and hydrodistillation extraction methods are reported. The oils were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The effect of centrifuge speed in cold press extraction of Citrus.limettioides was investigated. The effects of fresh peels and dried peels in hydrodistilled oil were also tested. The major components of Citrus.limettioides were limonene, α-pinene, β-pinene, linalool and linalyl acetate. The extraction yield of hydrodistillation based on fresh peels was 0.89%(w/w),while extraction yield based on cold press was 0.82%(w/w).Percentage of oxygenated compounds that are effective in oil’s odor , is more in cold press method
