Abstract:

Production of ornamental fishes had a significant development in the past fewdecades in Iran. This industry have contributes to employment creation, foreign anddomestic trade. Iran also has the reserves of ornamental fishes and several beautifuland rare species is found in our internal waters which have the potential to beintroduced as ornamental fish. One of the species is Iranian cichlid that belonging toCichlidae family and native species of Iran and the Strait of Hormuz and by Dr. BrianCode 1976 identified and recorded. Iran has only this endemic cichlid. So because ofthe value of the biology of this fish are popular all over the world and in researchcenters and universities in many countries is maintained. Considering the importanceand value of native fish biology and reproduction and mass production in theaquarium of this research was conducted.
