Determining optimal order quantity in a multi-item EOQ model with backorder under fuzzy costs

n this paper, we develop a fuzzy multi-item Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model with backorder. We fuzzify the set up cost, holding cost, space storage rent cost, shortage costs and purchase cost by using of the triangular fuzzy numbers in the total cost. Thereafter, we obtain the fuzzy total cost. Finally, we apply the signed distance method to defuzzify the fuzzy total cost function and then we get the estimate of the optimal order quantity in the fuzzy sense.
