Abstract:

Equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)with aging treatment is used on Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy for obtaining the best mechanical properties. The results shows increase of the yield stress and UTS to 362Mpa and 475Mpa respectively. This achievement is remarkable when we observe that total elongation increase from 9% to 17%.Also we investigate effect of order of Aging and Ecap on the mechanical properties. The results show that Post Ecap Aging give the best ductility and post aging Ecap leads the best strength. At last, we compare two temperatures of 175°c and 200°c until the time of peak hardening. It found that long time-low temperature could be more appropriate.
